During Spring and Summer 2023, I worked as a co-facilitator on a climate change-related zinemaking project called 'Reframe: Inspire Schools' with Southbank Centre. Alongside a poet, we delivered sessions at Norwood School, South Bank University Academy and Vanguard School with KS3 students. They explored and developed their poetry writing, illustration, graphic design, collage and zine-making skills as we discussed topics about the environment. It led to them creating zines as a creative response and a celebration day where they heard talks, exchanged zines and visited the Hayward Gallery’s ‘Dear Earth’ exhibition. The project was produced by the Southbank Centre, Factory International, and Midlands Art Centre with the support of Apple.
